Competetion RulesRules for the 1st. CPISRA European Championship & the 14th. RaceRunners Cup – 10th. July 2010 1st CPISRA European Championship & the 14th RaceRunners Cup – 2010 will be held according to the IAAF rule set, which means: All heats will be announced 20 minutes prior to their start. Once a heat is announced athletes will be given 5 minutes to be present at the Marchalling area. All athletes will be escorted from the Machalling area to the starting area of their competition 10 – 8 minutes prior the start of the heat. All heats will be started with a start pistol. In the heats ranging from 40 m to 400 m changing lanes is not allowed. In 800 m heats the athletes has to stay in their respective lanes during the first 100 m of the race. Violations of these restrictions can lead to disqualification. First false start will lead to disqualification. During the event only athletes and officials are allowed on the track. Assistants /parents have to stay off track 8. Violations of these restrictions can lead to disqualification of the athlete. However, the competition management can issue an exemption if an athlete requires special aid before the start of a heat. The athlete has to report this on the registration, or if this isn’t possible it has to be reported on the arrival of the competition. To optimize the heats the competition management reserves the right to mix athletes from different CP classes in the individual heats. Medal distribution World Championship: Athletes will be divided in the heats after gender as well as handicap (international CP class). The opportunity for achieving a medal is based on this division. At least two athletes has to participate in a competition to trigger a gold medal, at least three athletes is required to further trigger a silver medal and at least four athletes has to participate to also trigger a bronze medal.
